Apple has launched a new page on its website dedicated to showcasing the capabilities of augmented reality on iOS, made possible by the introduction of ARKit in 2017. After an initial Amex-only launch last month, Apple Pay is seeing a full roll-out today in Singapore, with Visa, MasterCard and five major banks on board. Apple is continuing to build up its library of original content. Deadline today reports that Apple has ordered a series called “See” from Steven Knight. The science fiction drama comes from a joint venture between Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content… Apple’s order is straight-to-series, which means there won’t a “pilot episode,” but rather the series will immediately commence full production. “See” was written by Knight, who is best known for his work on British television show “Peaky Blinders....

Apple’s long-time head of Apple Mail Terry Blanchard is leaving the company, but he will continue working on mail apps for iOS and Mac as he joins software company Readdle as the VP of Engineering for its Spark email app. The move comes after six years as the lead of Apple’s Mail app development. Blanchard joined Apple in 2011 and led the development and QA teams for Apple Mail until joining Readdle this month....

Apple Pay is now available in yet another country. Apple today has updated its website and Apple Pay support page to reveal that the service is now available in Singapore. Through a partnership with American Express, users in Singapore can now take advantage of the company’s mobile payments solution. The expansion to Singapore means that Apple Pay is now available in the United States, Canada, China, the United Kingdom, and Australia for a grand total of six countries....
Apple has just released the first beta versions of new software updates for each of its platforms: iOS, OS X, tvOS, and watchOS. iPhone and iPad get iOS 9.3 beta 1, the Mac gets El Capitan 10.11.4 beta 1, Apple TV can test tvOS 9.2 beta 1, and Apple Watch users can try watchOS 2.2 beta.
