Apple has just registered a lot of products with the Eurasian Economic Commission database, from iPads to Watches to iPhones and even the iPod touch. However, most of these filings do not represent new products and are merely updating the database to account for the fact that these hardware models will soon ship with new versions of their respective operating systems, like iOS 13 and macOS Catalina. Each year at WWDC, Apple puts on a celebratory Bash event for developers. The event every year features a live music performance and this year is no different. Apple announced today that this year’s musical guest is popular band Panic! Apple’s Amsterdam store has been evacuated and temporarily closed after an iPad battery exploded and released potentially harmful substances into the air. As reported by iCulture, Apple employees secured the iPad and punctured battery in a container of sand after it exploded. Fortunately, there was no fire or smoke, or major injuries. However, three employees who experienced trouble breathing were treated by first responders. Due to the chemicals potentially released, the store has been closed as firefighters work to ventilate the space and clear out any harmful vapors....
Apple’s upcoming MagSafe Duo Charger has officially recovered approval from the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the United States. Apple’s website still lists the 2-in-1 Apple Watch and iPhone charger as “coming soon,” but FCC approval is a good indication that a release could happen soon. The new FCC filing is for a “Two Coil Charger” with the model number A2458 from Apple. The documents submitted by Apple detail how the charger can be used to power an iPhone and an Apple Watch at the same time....

Since the launch of OS X Mavericks last week, many users have been reporting widespread, various, consistent issues within Apple’s bundled Mail application. Many of the issues have mainly affected users of Google’s Gmail email service, and some of the issues have to do with receiving messages, sorting messages into folders, and deleting messages. Apple is aware of the issue and is testing a fix for the problem… An updated Mail application has been seeded to both Apple employees internally and testers within Apple’s customer AppleSeed program....
Apple will reportedly be offering a new bond sale in four parts to raise $5.5 billion in debt. The news comes ahead of the company’s 4 for 1 stock split and record AAPL share highs moving the company close to a $2 trillion market cap milestone. Apple offered a bond sale just about a year ago raising $7 billion as well as this past May to the tune of $8.5 billion....
Update: The Apple TV app for Roku is now available. Download it here from the Roku Channel Store. The Apple TV app is launching on Roku devices today, just in time for Apple’s TV+ streaming debut on November 1st. The TV app can be downloaded thorugh the Roku channel store, allowing Roku users to access their 4K HD iTunes purchases, Apple TV Channels, and Apple TV+ originals. The company says the app will be compatible with most Roku devices, including the Roku streaming stick and Roku Ultra set-top box....
Earlier this year, Apple reported that Apple Pay was finally coming to CVS. Oddly enough, CVS’ terminals have supported NFC for years, but they intentionally disabled it. I was actually was able to use it on the day Apple Pay launched right before they disabled it. Apple just sent out an email informing that Apple Pay is now accepted at CVS. I personally get medicines for my entire family from CVS as I pass one right near my house....
Apple is indeed planning to release a new version of its 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K display this fall, according to reliable sources. The current plan is to announce the refreshed version of the smaller iMac by the end of October alongside OS X El Capitan and begin shipping the product by the beginning of November. As indicated by references inside of El Capitan, the new 21.5 inch iMac’s 4K display will come with a resolution of 4096 x 2304, which is up from the current model’s screen resolution of 1920 x 1080....
Following the last updated aerial shot of its under construction “Campus 2” earlier this month, Apple today shared a new shot that shows significant progress being made on the main structure and surrounding campus. As always, Apple shared the shot through the City of Cupertino’s webpage that provides traffic alerts and project updates for locals. UPDATE [Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 1:33pm ET]: The team behind the iTether app published a blog post offering their side of the story. We’ve included the entire post after the break because their servers were being battered at the time of this update. It was fun while it lasted, but iTether is gone from the App Store now. Unfortunately, looks like the combined effects of the hype and excitement, possibly coupled with iTether’s workaround of some of the App Store restrictions, may have provoked Apple enough to pull them from the store....
In a big move to improve its weather app, Apple has purchased the highly popular iOS app Dark Sky. Along with the acquisition comes the end of Dark Sky for Android as well as an end to the API that’s used by popular apps like Carrot Weather, and more. Dark Sky announced the news in a blog post today. The news will certainly mean much improved native weather app for iOS but also brings with it some downsides like ending access to the API in 2022 and killing off the Android app....
