We have been watching the exterior of the Apple spaceship campus develop over the last few years via drone videos but details about the interior design are much more scarce. In a lengthy article, Reuters reports that Apple Campus 2 is almost finished with a move-in date set for the spring. Apple is planning to retire its long existing One to One training program within Apple Stores on September 28th, according to a memo sent this week to Apple retail employees. One to One launched in 2007 as a $99 per year subscription program where a Mac user could make appointments with a “Creative” at an Apple Store to learn more about using their Mac and creating content with either consumer or professional applications....

Two years later, the iPhone has exploded into the best selling phone of any cell phone, with high critical acclaim and an App Store that is revolutionizing application distribution, and the Apple TV has, well, been sleeping. Sales numbers haven’t been revealed, and the Apple TV remains the hobby that Steve Jobs called it after it flopped. Rabid fanboys have defended the Apple TV, saying that Apple did a great job on it, and its an excellent product if you learn to appreciate it....

Today at WWDC Apple has officially announced the next version of watchOS for the Apple Watch. watchOS 3 was unveiled by Apple executive Kevin Lynch and includes a variety of changes and enhancements. Highlighting watchOS 3 is a major improvement to the speed of opening apps. Lynch explained that watchOS apps should open instantly and that watchOS 3 finally allows that to be the case. watchOS 3 also repurposes the Apple Watch side button to bring up a “Dock,” which will serve as a place to hold your most-used apps....

Apple has been steadily adding more banks to its list of those officially supported for Apple Pay, and today it adds yet another 50+ for users of the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch-based payment service. The new additions include a mix of banks and credit unions across the US, but don’t bring any newly supported institutions to users internationally. Apple has already begun building and expanding its Maiden, North Carolina data site and according to new plans sent by Apple to Catawba County, the Cupertino-based company plans to add another 21,030-square-foot data center to it. According to the plans, Apple is planning to build a new $1.9 million data center that will house 11 rooms, t-boned to the existing 500,000-square-foot data center that’s already on the site reports Winston Salem Journal....

After moving to weekly releases with beta 6, Apple has made watchOS 7 beta 7 available to developers today. Apple’s Magic Keyboard with trackpad for iPad may be the first of the company’s iPad keyboards to persuade me to switch from Brydge. The company’s Smart Keyboard and Smart Keyboard Folio products didn’t impress me. The typing feel wasn’t good, they didn’t balance well on my lap and overall had the feel of something cheap and plasticky. That’s the reason I’ve so far stuck with Brydge keyboards. We found out earlier this year that Apple’s new retail chief, former Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, made around $73 million in 2014 through her new position at the company. That made Ahrendts the highest paid female executive in the US last year, according to a new report from Bloomberg that puts her total earnings for 2014 somewhere closer to $82.6 million+: The former chief executive officer of London-based fashion retailer Burberry Group Plc was awarded $82....

The Florida teenager who took control of well-known Twitter accounts last year has agreed to plead guilty in exchange for a three-year prison sentence, according to the Tampa Bay Times. The 18-year-old hacked accounts including Apple’s, Bill Gates’, and Joe Biden’s. The hacker invaded several Twitter accounts with the same message last year: Paperwork filed Monday in Hillsborough circuit court indicates that Graham Ivan Clark has agreed to serve three years in prison, followed by three years probation....

Two weeks following the 2014 Worldwide Developers Conference and the release of the first beta build of iOS 8 to developers, Apple has provided iOS 8 beta 2 to developers. The new release is available over-the-air in iOS 8’s Settings menu, and it’s available for supported iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches. iOS 8 officially launches this fall and includes several new features for both consumers and developers alike. iOS Device users will experience a new Health app for integrating health and fitness data, improvements to Safari, enhanced Messages features, design tweaks in Mail, and significant changes to notifications, photo management, and the keyboard....

Sonos was once believed to be developing its own voice assistant, then leadership changes happened. AirPlay 2 and Apple Music work with Sonos speakers, but Apple doesn’t license Siri to integrate directly in other devices. So what happens to speakers like the Sonos One if they lose their voice assistants? Sonos already sells a cheaper version that keeps AirPlay 2 but lacks voice control — what regular Sonos One speakers could potentially become anyway....

Back in 2015, Apple announced a new repair program for the 12-inch MacBook and Retina MacBook Pro models that in some cases had issues with the anti-reflective coating of the screen. The program has already been extended once, and it seems that Apple is still repairing eligible MacBooks for free. According to an internal memo obtained by MacRumors, Apple has informed Apple Authorized Service Providers that customers may still be able to get free MacBook display repairs in the United States....

Apple today has stopped signing iOS 12.1.3, which means it is no longer possible to downgrade from iOS 12.1.4. iOS 12.1.4 was released last month to resolve the FaceTime eavesdropping bug. Apple generally stops signing older releases of iOS within a few weeks of an update being made available. Most recently, Apple stopped signing iOS 12.1.1 and iOS 12.1.2 last month. iOS 12.1.4 was released just over a month ago following the discovery of a huge Group FaceTime bug that would allow someone to eavesdrop on another user....

Apple has officially unveiled the brand new iPhone everyone has been awaiting: iPhone X (pronounced ten). The new model is available in two colors: space gray and silver. Its new Super Retina Display uses a 5.8-inch OLED display with a full-screen design. Like the Apple TV 4K, the iPhone X supports HDR and Dolby Vision. It also supports True Tone like the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus announced earlier today....

Apple Pay has now notched up ten countries as it goes live in Russia today. The country joins Australia, Canada, China, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK and U.S. in supporting Apple’s mobile wallet service. The launch was marked on Apple’s Russian website, though the company has yet to update the Apple Pay availability page of its U.S. site. Support in Russia is currently limited to one bank and one card type …...
