Apple today released iTunes version 12.5.1 for OS X and Windows users, bringing the Apple Music redesign that it first unveiled for its new macOS Sierra release arriving later this month.
As pictured above, Apple Music has been given a total redesign in this update, in line with the new experience that it first unveiled back at WWDC with the introduction of macOS Sierra. The update introduces a much cleaner look overall for Apple Music with larger black font and simplified navigation. The rest of the iTunes experience remains largely unchanged.
The public release of macOS Sierra will arrive later this month on September 20, but users on previous versions of Mac OS X and Windows are getting the update today likely to prepare for the launch of iPhone 7. The update also adds full support for iOS 10 alongside its release today and the iPhone 7 retail launch this Friday, September 16.
The iTunes 12.5.1 update is available to Macs running 10.9.5 or later via the Mac App Store now. The Windows version requires Windows 7 or later.
