It will also remain available for replay for around two weeks afterwards. The webcast is available on any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 4.2 or above, as well as any Mac running OS X 10.6.8 or later. Apple has launched a new ad promoting the iPhone 12 durability. It’s not the first time the company has emphasized this, as in its iPhone keynote last year, it said that this model has four times better drop performance. In the ad named Cook, a clumsy cooker tries to learn a recipe while reading the steps on his iPhone 12. The result is that he spills lots of sauce on the iPhone, fills it with flour, and hits the smartphone with a pepper grinder too many times....

Apple is promoting Earth Day this Saturday with the latest Apple Watch Activity Challenge. The new Earth Day Challenge encourages Apple Watch users to go outside and complete a 30 minute outdoor exercise to unlock new iMessage stickers and a special achievement award. Apple has released the fourth beta version of the upcoming iOS 8.2 software update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Apple has released the fifth beta to developers for the upcoming iOS 8.2 release. The update is available both over-the-air from the Settings app on iOS as well as through the iOS Dev Center. The release includes bug fixes and improvements. Apple has also released Xcode 6.2 beta 5 with WatchKit with build number 6C121 on the iOS Dev Center. After several beta releases, Apple today released the 10.9.3 software update to OS X Mavericks. The update is recommended for all users running OS X Mavericks, and brings a list of improvements including improved support for 4K displays. Apple today provided a few new seeds to developers. First on the list is the first beta build of the upcoming OS X 10.9.5. The build is labeled as 13F7, and it will likely come as the final update to OS X Mavericks, which will be succeeded by OS X Yosemite in October. The Apple Store is down ahead of Apple’s September event, where the company is expected to announce a new redesign for the iPad Air and the Apple Watch Series 6. Apple is set to pay up to $500 million to settle a United States lawsuit over the iPhone battery performance throttling debacle of 2018. Via Reuters, Apple agreed to a preliminary settlement in legal documents filed on Friday. The company denied wrongdoing but said it settled to avoid lengthy court proceedings. The monetary suit is equivalent to $25 per impacted iPhone. The lawsuit covers US owners of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, or iPhone SE who were running the iOS 10....

Apple has today released the second supplemental update for 2018 MacBook Pros running macOS High Sierra 10.13.6. Apple announced last month that it will open a new retail store in Melbourne, Australia at Federation Square. The Apple Store iPhone Reuse and Recycling trade-in program is launching in Canada in the coming weeks, according to a source with knowledge of the initiative’s expansion. The source says that training for Apple Store employees in Canada will begin this upcoming week… The iPhone Reuse and Recycling program first launched in the United States in late-August of last year, and it expanded to the United Kingdom the following October.
